A Lifelong Passion for Exceptional Design

 

My love of interior design began when I was a little girl growing up in the Midwest. At ten years old, my mother gave me the opportunity to select the paint colors for our home, and I was captivated by the ability to transform a space through thoughtful design. That early influence, along with my Midwestern roots, continues to shape my approach today—refined and sophisticated, yet always warm and inviting.

My path to becoming a designer took an unconventional route. I began my career in accounting, developing a strong foundation in budgeting, finance, and investment. After buying and selling homes of my own, I began combining that financial perspective with my natural instinct for design.

That passion eventually led me to the luxury homebuilding industry in Las Vegas. Although I initially worked within the financial side of the business, I knew I belonged in the creative process. I asked for the opportunity to stage the company's model homes, and that chance eventually led to managing their Design Center and guiding clients through architectural and interior selections.

I had found my calling.

In 2000, I opened Jody's Inspiration. Today, I work closely alongside my daughter, Christina, who is my right hand and an integral part of the business. I have had the privilege of teaching her the design business from the ground up, and she has developed a natural talent for design development, creating detailed room boards, and the thoughtful sourcing of materials and furnishings. Together, we bring generations of knowledge, creativity, and perspective to every project.

Our approach begins with getting to know our clients—their lifestyle, their aspirations, and the way they want to experience their home. From architectural planning and material selection to bespoke furnishings and final installation, we believe exceptional design is found in the thoughtful relationship between every element.
